Let It Go!

Are you hanging onto thoughts that aren’t yours? It’s time to let them go. Throughout life, we are conditioned to like, dislike, and believe in things that may not be part of our design. Most of us are unaware that some of these beliefs don’t belong to us. They came from our parents, teachers, or religious affiliations. How do we learn what is truly our values and perspective?

Influence

One way is to look at the influencers in your life and see if they have the same values and perspectives? If you find that both you and one of your parents believe that the toilet paper roll should go with the paper coming off the top, it might be a conditioned response and not something you ever gave much thought. Similar to Julia Roberts in The Runaway Bride. She always liked her eggs whatever way her fiancé wanted his eggs.

Forgiveness


Maybe you are holding a grudge against someone. Did they do something terrible to you? Or are you imagining they did something that society told you is horrendous? Sometimes we act as we think we should without really considering how we feel. If you have been betrayed, the gift of forgiveness can cure your unease.

Anxiety

Let’s touch on anxiety for a moment. If you constantly feel pressure to perform, make sales, or say the right thing…it might be time to practice the art of unattachment. Unattachment means not being emotionally connected to the outcome. You can apply unattachment to anything that is not what you want in life. This includes your financial status, health, or our current government. Focus on your perfect future vision, and let the rest go.
